Camping is a favorite activity among the very young to the very old. Getting back to nature with loved ones or experiencing a little rest and relaxation with a group of friends is the perfect way to unwind and enjoy life. There are a number of different levels in which a person can camp ranging from the very rustic to a luxurious tent or motor home.

A few days spent relaxing and enjoying the outdoors can rejuvenate a person's mind, body and spirit. Becoming one with nature is an awesome feeling that people live for. A few days and nights living off the land and cooking meals over an open campfire is the ultimate experience for the outdoorsmen who loves a challenge every now and again. Gathering firewood and sleeping under the open stars while listening to the awesome sounds of nature can be a life altering experience.

Camping in a motor home or camp trailer provides the amenities of home with comfortable beds, electric lights, heating or cooling as well as TV if desired.

Every camping trip can be successful as long as it is planned and packed for accordingly. It is imperative a camper has the food and shelter supplies they will need in every situation. Things like bio-degradeable toilet paper and solar ovens are great ways to enjoy nature without leaving a footprint.

Light sources should be battery or solar operated just in case an electrical source is not available. A first aid kit should always be included to handle any emergencies that can happen in the outdoors. Being prepared for inclement weather is another important rule for any camper. Camp stores offer a variety of heat blankets and rain gear that are very compact and easy to store within a backpack or suitcase. Of course, an important part of nature is all the beautiful insects and critters. A bug repellant is a necessity for those who would rather enjoy mother nature without mother nature feeding off of them.
